O/T Make a choice
Sorry to bug u, but...
in life, would you rather do what makes u comfortable or go insearch of the truth regardless of if u feel good or bad afterwards?

The truth is not for everyone. Masses often cannot be told the truth, like if there was an impending Nuclear Strike, we'd have utter chaos. We can't tell the public that. Also, I've found that ppl who know the truth (in one sense of th word) are pessimistic people. Kind of "what I do doesn't matter" or "I know the truth and what I do can't change that" sort of attitudes. Maybe not those lines specifically, but something in that general direction.
Don't get me wrong, I dont wanna be a blind lemming about to jump off a cliff. I'm just saying that sometimes its best to enjoy yourself, knowing comfortably enough to know in your little world. (Also don't get misunderstand me when I say this, I don't mean to imply that happiness/optimism and truth are mutually exclusive, its not necessarily one or the other, its possible for both to happen simultaneously. Its just not the case I have observed for the majority of the cases I encounter)

Before I went looking for the truth or hiding from it, I would make sure I would never, ever use "u" for "you", "4" for "for" and "2" for "to/two". That is, if I want to not just have a fourth-grade education, but actually use it.
As for your question: once you know there's something for you not to know, how could you not want to know it?

The truth.
It's an easy call for me in terms of objective, scientific knowledge. I definitely want to know, as best as possible, the nature of the physical world.
I'm pretty sure I'd like to know the moral/religious truth, although I might be sorely disappointed (or humiliated) by the truth.
It's most difficult when it comes to the personal truth. We all want to think we're good, honest, caring people, and it hurts to know our own failures. But even here, I'd rather know my faults than be a blissful a$$hole.

Truth is important. I don't know what the hell life is supposed to be about and I don't think anyone on this world knows. There is a truth out there about life, however I don't think we will get to know what that truth is until after death. This of course leads to religious issues which I think we should all avoid discussing here due to differing views and the possibility of pissing each other off.

Genghis, wats up with that man. u looking 4 trouble, 2? J/K. sorry for the introspective inturruption.
PhiTL, glad I could assist the aesthetics of your desktop and thankx for the defense.
I know that we are on an ACURA board, but I would like to think that if we all were intelligent enough to see the value in an ACURA, then finding the TRUTH shouldn't be beyond us.
Sorry, if I inadvertantly made anyone think who didn't want to.
