Hey guys,
I had the car for almost 2 years (00 TL), and I began to realize that when I depress the brake, the car stops, after the stop, then a few seconds later the pedal softly sinks in a little.
Now is that normal and is it done to relieve the tension? Or something is freaken wrong?

Is normal, my 99 does the same, it's the electronic brakes at work.

I had that on mine but noticed that it doesn't do it as much or if not at all when I got the brake pads replaced on my 03TL.

Theoretically, sinking pedal is a sign of failing master cylinder. But if it only sinks a little... I guess you are OK. Mine doesn't sink a bit ('00 TL)

Keep a eye on it. It is a symptom of a failing master cylinder or break booster. My 03 TL pedal sinks a little, and so does my 92 accord which has a new master cylinder.Originally Posted by Strannik

Does anyone also think it could be a slight vacuum leak or a weak line too?
I thought that could be a tell tale sign as well - though very minor.
... assuming brake fluid resevior is topped off and such :-)
