A friend of mine got nailed with a "loud exhaust" ticket recently. Does anyone know the laws in the NYC/L.I. area for noise pollution or whatever? His exhaust is custom aftermarket exhaust and isn't really that loud. No louder than a vette or disgustang at WOT. There is no fine on the ticket. He was told to appear in court. I'm guessing that the cop didn't know how much something like this is. Maybe he's just filling his quota for January ? Any Thoughts ?
