No TL-S... getting a Prelude instead...

Hey Guys... sorry to report that I wont be buying a TL-S... fiance is getting a car and $22K is about the limit, so Prelude is the car. I know some of you dont like the look of the new ones... call me crazy, but I love the look of the new Preludes... always have. I think the interiors are boring, though, and I plan on buying white gauges, carbon fiber kit, and adding a tv up in it.
The first mods will be springs and three types of sway bars... they have three on Snooks site, but I'm not sure which one to get. Should I get all three? Man, I'm not an expert on these kinds of things.

Also... how should I go about buying the damn thing? Should I fax all the dealers and bombard them with offers, call the dealers individually... not sure.

I know its the last year of the Prelude, by the way... I intend on paying 21K plus 1200 for leather. Anyway, any and all advice will be appreciated.

Unfortunately, I can't stand the RSX's ugly back end. But I'll check it out at the dealership and see if it grows on me.

A departed friend had an expression, "All's good, some's better". I don't think he was specifically speaking of cars, but who knows? Best of luck Louie A., where ever you are (and good luck with your Prelude, JATLIFE!).

The Prelude has razor sharp handling (a lot better than the TLS) so you're not going to be deprived. Plus its cool to be getting one of the last few Preludes ever made

Enjoy your car and your last few days of bachelorhood

"Can you say Integra?"

Cheesy looking interior, gauges look like they belong on a toy car; I was not impressed. There is more to a car than having 200hp. If that's all you want go for it but it did nothing for me.

I personally like the previous gen Prelude. The Vtec is a good .5 seconds faster than the current Prelude, and there won't be such a depreciation hit. But, if you decide on the current model... it's still a damn nice car. Just make sure you get a great deal... there is NO demand.

Non SH. Leather. Save for OEM bodykit. =)

Totally agree!! My buddy just got his Electron Blue one last year.. and I have been haggling him to get his kit on.. the Lude with the kit is just like our TL with a kit.. made for eachother.

Trying to get my kit before he gets his.. but we're both poor right now.. especially with the downturn and layoffs getting closer...

a bunch of people's been driving off with the preludes.....i'v seen tons of newly purchased preludes on the road...cause they r cheap....if it's brand new..and great price...way way below RSX type S then get it..if it's a close race in the price.....i'd stick to RSX.

prelude...

Hey...if you intend to get prelude...and get a kit....maybe look into "Black Widow" Kit by Ground Effects. In my opinion it looks soo good. Personally...stock Prelude doesnt really appeal to me much...but after I saw it with the Black Widow kit on...it made me want to get one...hehe. Good luck anyways with your new car
