no reverse!!
ok so this morning my car was after about 5 min of driving it started shifting hard as hell and gave the D5 blink of death, CEL, and TCS, i turned around and came back home.
i tried to move the car a little while ago, TCS was gone, D5 wasn't blinking, but i didn't have reverse, nothing at all reverse was neutral, drive works, but i get a big clunk, flt and heard.
i recently had p0740, torque convertor shift solenoid signal malfunction, now i havent had any hard, or mishifts, or slips til today, is there anything to save it, changing solenoid or sensors or i'm now the proud owner of a fucking lawn ornament

Got that same code just before my Tranny went Caput!!! Mega Mod also Said the same = DEATH and it Did 1 week Later...

Or, you can welcome yourself to the 'I just swapped in a 06-07 Accord trans, Happy as a clam' CLUB!
Seriously, it isn't that big of a deal, secure funding for an Accord trans, then swap it yourself, or pay a few hundred to have someone else do it.
I'm with a statement our mega-mod said in a post a while back, 'It is more hassle replacing sway bar endlinks than swapping a trans'..... and it really is no shit, I had to do my trans twice in a month, first time was trans death, second time was brand new rear main seal death. It may seem very daunting and complicated, but really the worst thing is making sure you have all the right tools.
If you need info or help on the av6 swap pm me, I will try to pass on what I learned

here is the weird thing i cleared the codes with a buddy's scanner, drove around and it was perfect again no slipping, no hard shift, reverse worked, everything was working perfectly,
after driving around for about 5-10 min, and it was fine, then it randonly slipped but we left the scanner in as we drove and it wasn't throwing codes, after about 15 min it threw p1706 and nothing else
i'm pretty sure its just done but it really sucks to have 3 trans failures within 60k miles, first was at 64k, second at 94k, and now at 119k, i bought the car in late 05 with 62k and in 7 years i've only put on 60k

It will shift fine when Cold (BEEN THERE, DONE THAT) but once that the tranny gets to Temp the issues will appear.... Trust us, Your tranny is a Gonner...
My first one lasted until 114K then My current one is still kicking at almost 195K! But I already have an AV6 Ready to Strike, Im not paying another 1300 Bucks for a Rebuilt XD....
