I filled it once like two months ago, because my power steering went completely out. I checked it the other day, but it was still pretty full. It's weird...some days it steers fine other days it's like the wheel is real stiff and hard to turn. You say it could be a belt? Where would I find that?

Well, obviously you have a leak.

Anyhow, when filling the PS pump you are supposed to repeatedly turn the stearing wheel FULL left and right (you will hear is groan) to expel air from the system - If I remember correctly it is with the cap off to let the air out.

If you don't do this you probably still have air in the system.

Could be broken teeth on the rack & pinion assembly.

Could be the pump going out.
