I have a question regarding the tranny issue. I have a 2K TL with about 77K miles and I think mine is starting to go out. When I go to turn a corner kinda slow and I accelerate out of it, it seems like it's in neutral for a split second and then it shifts. Also, when I shift it into gear from park, it takes a second, or sometimes two, to actually shift. Yesterday, I accelerated to pass a truck going up an overpass and it felt like it was in neutral for a second. I've also noticed that when I use the Sport Shift the car doesn't always respond to the shifts right away. The thing about these symptoms is that they happen sporadically so it's a crapshoot if I take it to the dealer to have them diagnose it. I'm right at or probably over the 7 yr & 9 month warranty and I'm worried that my tranny's gonna crap out on me, leaving me with an immobile TL. I wanted someone to shed some light on this for me so I can decide what to do.

Explain this to the dealer.

LOL! I feel the same way. I hope my tranny never dies, yet at the same time I wish it would so I could get the better unit.

That could also mean they just installed the oil jet.

Thanks for the help. I'm definately going to take it to the dealer and have them check it out. I'm gonna have to wait until January because I'm leaving the country and I don't think the dealer wants to store my car for 3 weeks until I get back.

Talking New transmission for me!!!

I took my car into Modesto Acura this morning and got a call a little while ago. The tech determined that the transmission is pretty much done. I was over the warranty on time but way under on miles (77,500) so he called Acura and they're going to cover it 100%!!!!! The transmission is on order and should arrive on Tuesday. I can't believe how easy this was. I thought I was going to have to fight a little to get it replaced.
