No more Seat Squeaks! Finally...
Well, like many other 99-00 TL owners, my car started to develop a squeak in the driver seat area about 6 mos ago. I brought the car into the dealership right before my warranty expired, andthey took my seat out and fixed something, but my car still had a squeak.
About a month ago, the squeaks came back and got worse, so I finally took my seat out this week and too apart a few things. I greased all the nuts and bolts, sprayed silicon lub on the springs, cleaned and wiped all the plastic areas, and coated the Seat Belt receptor with a cloth tape, and finally....
NO MORE SQUEAKS!
Only thing is I had to replace two snaps on the back when i disassembled the back pocket panel to access the lumbar support ($2.50 each since they are single use snaps)
just glad it was taken care of. I hope it lasts!
