Question No heat from A/C system?

Just got back from a run to the store and the car refuses to give me any heat whatsoever. I've tried almost everything I can think of. It was working fine yesterday .

Anyway these are the things I looked at:

checked all fuses
checked coolant level
turn off ignition & try again
turn off climate control & try again.
cycle heat between 60 & 90
punched every icon on the nav and they all repsond properly.

Basically everything works as it should, which leads me to believe that it may be the heater valve servo.

I'll call the dealer in the AM, but has anyone experienced this kind of thing?

Thanks,
Iggy

What's the temp gauge read? If the temp gauge reads normal, it probably is a solenoid/relay/servo that controls the heat exchange baffles. If the temp gauge reads lower than normal, could be the thermostat is stuck open.

Yeah I thought about that but the temp guage is normal. Just below midpoint at operating temp.

This is a trick my mechnic friend at PepBoys showed me and it works.

Under the hook a bit left of the center of the firewall, there is a black hose with a metal clip connected to the hose attached to some sort of lever. That lever only moves about 1 cm....pull the metal clip/lever toward you (the front of the car) and this should give you heat...if you push it all the way back it will give you cold air. He told me that it is part of the climate control system.

We were talking about A/C systems and how Acura/Honda don't get as cold as Toyota/Lexus...he told me to try it and it works.... In the summer i usually take the clip off the lever and push it all the way back...This will give you the max cold air...it won't even give hot air even if you put it to 90 degrees...in the winter i put the clip back on and move the lever back to the middle...so i get hot/cold.

Tell me if it works.

Thanks for the reply guys.

I never did make it to the dealer because the darn thing worked just fine the next day and ever since. It must have been some strange queertrons floating around.

holy fart! your suggestion corrected my problem. it seems that when i ran my power wire thru the firewall i moved that lever by mistake. i haven't had heat in a while. i was just about to go the dealer when i came across this thread. i moved the lever back and now i have heat again. great! oh, i have an 04 accord 6mt. thanks again!!

yea I had the same problem after getting my alarm installed and I took it back to the installer and they checked it out and told me a `slider` was stuck and they fixed it.
