100 shot is way too much for our trannys to handle.

I would say 55 shot might be a better way to go.

I run a 75 shot. Your tranny should handle it fine depending on how much you use it.

I rarely use mine, to the point I question why I bought it.

If you do want to go with that 100 shot, I'd suggest you get a wet kit.

Honestly, I wouldn't do it at all. Why risk the chance of killing your tranny. Save your money and buy a new, faster car in a few years.

Nos you cannot hide. Once its on your car theres no turning back. And if you plan on selling or trading in your TL, dont even plan on going to the dealership.

Exclamation neils right, and so is everyone else!

get a faster car eventually. NOS is not worth the risk to our tranny's, look at VIN , says he doesn't even use it! i wanted to do it too, but after much research, and speaking to experts, i decided against it! it's bad enough the tranny's are dropping out on their own! NOS will be blowing them out! kman

Actually you're wrong. N2O can be hidden. It'll cost you a little more on the install though, but if $$$'s not a problem and you don't want it to be seen, then go for it. Personally I wouldn't go the nitrous route on a TL/TLS.........s/c for that matter either - just not THAT type of car, IMO.

You guys are funny......I've been spraying a 100 shot for over 9 months now........I use it all the time, you just have to know what to do...ie...change plugs to non-platinum and use a wet kit. But by all means DO NOT I repeat DO NOT use the Zex kit....go with Nitrous Express and use the jet sizes they tell you....you'll better in the long run.

Oh yeah and no tranny problems on my 00'TL w/ 35k miles and spraying down on the 19s...

Lightbulb Sorry, I gotta ask?

I love cars, I love fast cars, I love my TL... But someone please formulate a intelligent theory to help me understand why people are trying to make our cars (TL's) faster? If you want to race, wouldn’t you buy something else, as it is, these cars are very zippy.

I'm not trying and don't want to disrespect anyone here, but: There 4 door-Japanese-Luxury-FWD Drive-Sedans?

Now if someone said they wanted better brakes and better suspension, I could understand, but the power is already there, IMOHO.

nos doesnt leave any residue...its just a rumor....nos is no different than the air with breath and what our engine breaths normally.....2 atoms of nitrogen combined with 1 oxygen to be in a stable form and when under pressure and heat...the bonds break yielding more oxygen to aid in the combustion process.....nitrogen is just consumed as a by product adn spit out......how does any of that make it yellow?

I agree with NSX4DR, NX is a better setup than ZEX.

Schloma, NX makes safety add ons for your nitrous setup. It's more money, but it wouldn't hurt.

Vffr, I put nitrous in my car cause I saw the movie The Fast and the ummmm Furious. Anyone understand the point of the ending action sequence?

ZEX

I have a zex kit, my tranny is still fine i'm on my third bottle. I agree with nsx I should've gotten the nx kit. The zex kit is easy to hide though. Just mount the box under the intake or take it off the car. No one would ever know it was there. Oh but you're gonna have to put your factory box back in. I wanna go 100shot but the zex kit won't allow me doesn't come with bigger jets. It only comes with 55 65 75.

zex is super easy too install. Thats why I bought it. I took my kit out once because I had to bring it back to the dealer for maintainance. They couldn't even tell i had a nitrous system in. I had a track day with my friends and had a hour to put the nitrous in, we did it!! If you install it the first time, i'd say allow 3 hours for a clean and nice install. My hour install was kinda sloppy. People knew I was running nitrous because the stainless steel lines were peeking, and they heard the purging of course.

That's why I never purge...or open my hood or trunk at the track.....

Nothing like seeing someones face when you run 14.0 on 19s and they think it's just a stock family car......
