Nighthawk Black?
I have owned my TL for 3 weeks. However, the manufacture date was 4/2003. When I got it, I let the dealer detail it. The wax job sucked. Only lasted 2 weeks and full of swirls.
I just waxed my car with Zymol and it really made a difference. Now when I closely examine the paint, I notice a little blue, almost spec like, in it.
Anyone ever noticed this with their black TL?
Do you think that this is the normal finish?
Thanks....

Besides the Navi, that was one of the biggest selling points for my car. It seems to look black during the day, and blue under the lights at night. People always ask me, is your car blue or black?

In Canada they call this Midnight Black and it's available only on the TLS A-Spec. It;s complemented by perforated blue leather inserts in the seat, blue leather grips on the wheel and blue leather on the shift knob. But the metallic blue in the paint really pulls it all together. Can you guys confirm the same paint in US is called Nighthawk black? Also, I had leather and paint treatment for about $150 CDN.. was I ripped off? They are supposed to re-certify the process every year. Does this mean I don't need to wax?

On the paint crap.. it doesn't work that well.. my father in law has it on his car, a late model Integra.. he had it for a year or two, waxed that car by hand with carnuba and low and behold.. the paint CAME OFF (and no, it's not like he was rubbing it THAT hard, he's a VERY gentle man, with everything)... cost him a bundle to get the car repainted i can tell ya.
