Question NHB '02 TL-S vibrates in Park!!!!

Is it just me, my car seems to vibrate or tremble slightly in park. It's not too bad but it's a brand new car and it slightly shakes in park. Just wondering if this is normal, the guys at the dealership said it was but don't really trust them.

I have a new 03 TL-S and I do not have any vibration at all in park or in gear. In the last couple of months I have test driven about 3 different TL-S and I haven't noticed any vibration in these cars as well. I would ask the dealership to show you another car or two and see if they vibrate.

I got my 2003 TL-S and it kinda vibrates in park but not in gear. Only 1 month old.

The 1st couple months when I had the car I noticed that the car had a "rough idle". The dealer told me that it was normal. After a couple of months later, I think it got smoother. My car is a lil over a yr old now and it still has a lil vibration, but not very noticeable.

Any relation to when the AC Compresor kicks in?? RPM's may drop momentarily causing a slight vibration until they rise back up again.

I think it's fine if your car is at cold idle in Park. No matter how smooth the engine is, there will be slight vibration unless it's a very nice car with very nice engine mounts and perfect balance shafts.

I have the same vibration. I was concerned when I first got my TL-S too, but I was told it was normal. Now at 25,000 miles, I still have it, but it is almost not noticable.

We have almost 15K miles on ours and there has always been a slight "vibration" at idle. I always attributed it to a slight "lope" due to the more aggressive cams in the Type-S.
