Welcome! I have the same pearl white. Great color. All was sounding and looking good until your last post. Did you buy from a private individual or dealer? Any warranty at all? How do you know it wasn't going back into 1st gear? Was there any slipping? How does the trans fluid look?
private seller, no warranty. Im suspecting no 1st gear because when the car was stopped and I took my foot off the brake it wasnt moving until I hit the gas. It reved to 1500 before the car moved...shifted thru all the gears fine, just the initial take off seemed like it was hanging
Talk to the seller and try to get some information on the trans like when it was last rebuilt, how many times he drained and filled with new fluid, and if he ever replaced the inline filter or any solenoids or pressure switches that were bad or clogged. Other things to check would be both trans mounts and front engine mount. It may not be our position but ask him if he knew about this condition before he sold the car. He might be inclined to help fix the issue with you. First thing to check is your fluid level. Get car warmed up to operating temp and then shut off in park and check fluid. Should be between both dots. Let us know what you find.

Welcome to the forum. I live in Orlando as well. I also have a WDP Type-S. If you are having tranny issues already, there is probably pre-existing conditions. There are a lot of solutions, the first of which would be to do a 3X3. it is the cheapest and if it works for you will buy you time. I am sure whomever you bought it from doesn't want to hear anything from you. Look through our forums for the 3X3, go to the Honda dealer in Sanford (across the street from the Acura dealer) to get the fluid. They sell if for about $6 a quart (it's been a while, forgive me if I am wrong). The other dealers in the area charge WAY TOO MUCH. Otherwise, you can purchase it online as well. Welcome to our little corner of the internet...
i will get the trans flushed, according to the previous owner and the receipts, it was fulled with Amsoil. Everyday driving I dont have an issue, it was only after driving it all day, and then a hour and a 1/2 run to my parents house, pushing it a little, is when I got the issue with it acting up. Once the car cooled down it was fine, would adding an external transmission cooler help?
also what is the fix for the power steering whine? I have full fluid, but it still whines/groans

If your handy with cars you can do the drain and fill yourself. Its easy as an oil change. You need a 3/8 socket wrench to break the drain bolt free. Then fill with 3 qts and check your level after warming car up then shutting it off in park. Should be between both dots.
Concerning the ps noise, check out the diy post for that. Very easy to do and o-ring cost a dollar or less.
