new tranny but with a twist
Good news for those who have done mods and work with a stand up dealer. My tranny went down with 25K miles on it. The twist is I have the S/C, headers, etc. The dealer did charge me to R/R the S/C but they honored the warranty on the tranny. I did have them install the S/C and they told me then they would stand behind it. It costs more for the install but paid off bigtime.
The first tranny installed was also bad so they had to install a second one. I had a loaner (TSX ASpec) for the ten days this all took.
So, if you have a good dealer to work with, mods are not an issue and don't let other dealers tell you otherwise! I've worked with South Coast Acura in Costa Mesa.

South Coast Acura replaced my tranny and I can say that they're a great place to deal with. Very knowledgeable service dept. that fixes it right the first time. If you live in the LA/OC area check them out!
