new tranny acting weird

driving out of town again today and turned on cruise control and BAM~!!! the tranny starting slipping again..i was just about to start crying very loudly when i noticed it started when i turned the cruise on so i turned it off and everything went back to normal...drove for another 600 miles and np...i am afraid to turn the cruise back on..what could it be?

I think "BAM" = "All of a sudden"

That is my guess, unless the "BAM" meant a large banging noise?

Maybe cruise control is messsing with the ecu which is messing with the tranny shifting. Trannies dont just shift normal, mess up iun cruise and go back to normal when you turn it off. That sounds computer related to me.
