Hey, I just bought a 99 TL with 110,000 in awesome shape. Tranny was rebuilt one year ago. Car drive like a dream.
Small stuff like the typical F-ed up rearview, and for some reason the passenger side door locks dont work with remote? Also I have to clean the EGR passage, it's throwing a code and guy told me his mechanic said that it was the ERG passage blocked up.


Anyway, my plans are change all fluids, plugs, filters, etc. I also need to do timing belts, and will probably adjust the valves while Im at it. My valve cover gaskets are leaking a bit too. I have seen a bunch of DYI already on here..love the Inet for that reason.


Anyway, as far as a manual, I see on Ebay the downloadable factory service manual for $10. Any where you guys know I can down load it for free?

Ill be asking more questions as I go...

I have a related question, which I'll throw in here so I don't have to make a new thread.

I've found Acura service manuals floating around the web, but most people seem to have Helm's service manual. Is there a difference?

Helm doesn't make manuals (to my knowledge), they just distribute/sell them. They are written by Honda.

most of what you need for help is in the DIY or problem threads
you can replace the mirror with a new one for 80 bucks

Is that for the auto dimming mirror? I thought they were more expensive than that.

list for 150 and several dealers- including some of our sponsors- are doing the 70-80 dollar deal
maybe to make up for no exchanges from maker anymore
or to compete with the rebuilt market by the new maker- that cost 75-80 to rebuild yours or just exchange for rebuilt unit- Im not certain which
Statements on azine in the recent mirror threads will yield a dealer name

ck the vendor list next to the log out box- call a few dealers and see who will do it!
Prestige in santa rosa ca- they seem to wheel and deal for our biz, the $295 parts bundle for the wp tbelt job guy~
Look at the many dealer or ~associated with acura distribution~ pop up ads as you read azine--try them

marcelft- Remove any prior versions of Acrobat then go to to Adobe's site & dnload the latest version.
