New Tl-S Questions.

Hey everyone,

couple of quick questions again:

1. Which is the best gas for my new tl-s 87, 89, 93, 94?

2. How many miles does the Tl-S needs to brake in before I can start driving it a little bit more agressive?

Thank you.

Denis

I believe the manual indicates 91 octane or better and 600-1000 miles of varied driving for break-in.
Good luck!

Yeah, what Darla said!!

I use 93 Octane in my car, but she's right, the manual says 91 or higher.

I also went the full 1,000 miles on the break-in (not sure exactly what the manual said on this one). Better safe then sorry.....

Darla, I think this is the first post from you that does not contain a quote, so I have to pick up the slack.

FYI.... for all us Americans, 6000kms is 3726 miles ( ) which is the recommend mileage for the first oil change, but a little high for breaking a car in. It's not bad to go that far (obviously) but 600-1000 miles would be fine.....

thephantom,

Although I have tended to use quotations in many posts, there've been a few where I've resisted the temptation. It was tough to think of one dealing with octane and break-in milage.

However, I don't wish to disappoint, so:

"One must be a wise reader to quote wisely and well."

A. Bronson Alcott

I'm giving that advice a go!!!

Where would she be without that "Quote-A-Day" calendar on her desk?

Seinfeld

But why do you always place quotes on this board???????????

Do you think because we dwell on our TLs, that we need inspiration to get a life?

BLEXV6,

Being both a member of this board and an owner of a TL-S, I'd be the last person to suggest "getting a life".

The purpose of the quotes (if any) is to suggest other knowledge gone before.

"In going where you have to go, and doing what you have to do, and seeing what you have to see, you dull and blunt the instrument you write with. But I would rather have it bent and dulled and know I had to put it on the grindstone again and hammer it into shape and put a whetstone to it, and know that I had something to write about, than to have it bright and shining and nothing to say, or smooth and well oiled in the closet, but unused."

Ernest Hemingway

Since I can't say it as well as Ernest, at least I can quote him!!!

Cheers!!!

Darla...damn, I don't know where you get all your quotes, but your supply seems to be endless. Meanwhile, all I can quote from is the Simpsons, Seinfeld and some Duckman.....LOL:p

We all have our catagories of expertise. Mine seem to be more arcane than others!!!
