New TL-S owners: post reply
I've been wanting to get some feedback from new 2002 TL or TL-S owners since I haven't been on the forum in a while. I want details. How much? What's REALLY different? Does the exhaust REALLY make a sporty sound? etc. Anything you guys could just say about the car, I'd like to know. I've been looking for different cars and I still think the TL-S is the best deal. What do ya think about that?

Pure style and profile. I test drove the Chrysler 300M, Pontiac Bonneville SSEI, Lexus IS300, Audi S4, Mazda Milennia S, and Volvo S60 T. The 300M is the closest in bang-for-buck, but the reputation of their transmissions and depreciation scared me. Volvo S60 is QUICK, but ~$8 grand more expensive apples to apples (everything is standard on the Acura), and Volvo parts are unbelievably expensive if you do happen to need them. The Bonneville is nice, but the interior styling is a bit to "gadgety" for me. The Lexus is very sporty, but just doesn't deliver the car for the money. The S4 is WAY overpriced and quite cramped. All competitors except for the 300M are more expensive. The TL-S is a perfect balance of size, power, luxery, and sportiness, and the new styling is much nicer than the 2001.
