New TL-S
Hello everybody,
Just wanted to quickly introduce myself and let everyone know I just bought a new 2003 TL Type S this past weekend. So far, I love it. It has been everything I thought it would be and more.
Other cars I considered purchasing were the BMW 330i, IS 300, Audi A4, Mazda6, G35 sedan and Subura WRX. After much deliberation I decided on the TL-S for several reasons including power, size, comfort, and value. I bought the TL despite the reported bad transmissions I read about on this forum and others. I only keep cars for a few years anyway, so no big deal as long as its under warranty. I'm still working on getting my first mod done--tinting.

Its Aegean Blue. (I heard the blue ones are faster :thefinger )
I dont have pics yet, I plan on taking some this weekend. Who wants to look at a stock one anyway?

hey, mine is bone stock too!
too broke to get anything else. maybe the bodykit this march??(have to wait for the tax return). some drop too!

Welcome, welcome! Another SoCal TL-S! Nice color, too. Except you got it backwards -- the White Diamond ones are the fastest, I'm afraid.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you spend on it? Sticker vs. "The Deal Struck".
I won't have mine for about a year (White Diamond no Navi) and only under the hood mods if any) and I need to know what I'm in for.

if you want to remain happy with your new car, i would suggest staying away from this forum.
i used to be happy with my ride until i read all the posts here. now, i cant help feeling inadequate and imagining all the additional mods that i can put on my type S.

Welcome and great choice on color. I too own a 03 ABP TLS. Watch out for the mod monster though, because he will bite!
I thought color only mattered when you painted the engine cover? Besides everyone knows that stickers are really where the HP is at!

You're right, I didn't think about that. I need to get me some stickers to add a little more power. I heard a greddy sticker adds 6 HP! I'll need a big fat wing to, anyone know where to get one? hehehe NOT!!!:thefinger :thefinger :thefinger :thefinger :thefinger
