New TL owner, help!
Hey everyone, I just purchased a 2002 tl-s about 10 days ago, and It's been a nightmare.
1st I discovered that one of my ballasts was fried, got a new one with igniter for $380, then I had to change my motor mounts, front and side, $300 with labor.
NOW driving home last night, both my low oil and SRS lights went on at the same time. I pull over check the engine oil level its fine. My trans has a slow leak in its gasket I'm waiting for a new one to come in on monday. Does the light go on for trans oil too? Also can anyone think of why my srs is light came on?
I love this car but its so freaking expensive to fix!
Thanks guys in advance.

Now both lights are off!? WTF? Also can someone recommend which atf fluid to use? I have a bottle of drextron III stuff from penzoil is it good to top off with, im gonna have the tranny flushed when i get a new gasket but for now will that be ok?
sounds like someone dumped off a car with issues.(totaled??)
Lights both coming on?? Alternator going south? (no the light wont go on for trans) a leak in the trans shouldnt be as well. What gasket could possibly need replacing? and does the trans need to be removed to replace?
And fluid ONLY use Honda fluid. Dont add other types to the Honda Z1

Its got 65k on it, i payed 9,500. the car is rebuilt title, and they did a fairly good job aside for the air leak on the drivers side. I need a new trans gasket. Since the car is rebuilt the previous owner had the tranny replaced by a local shop about 4k miles before i bought the car.
The lights havent come on since, and its the a gasket on the transmition that needs replacing, I have a somewhat slow leak.
I read in the manual the proper way to flush the tl is by doing it 3 times in a row. Does this acutally need to be done or will one flush suffice?

Also being a salvaged title is most likely why your having issues. Things probably havent been repaired properly and is why things are costing you.
As for your flushing question, 3 are really preferred since only 3 quarts will come out from draining it (out of almost 8).
Im going to guess that your light issue was the alternator not producing enough/any voltage.
