I have an 02 type s, my dad has a 03-p. Both are in the driveway together, so thats always kinda cool. But anyways, its nice to drive them both to feel the immediate differences, I particularly like to feel the difference in pick up and cornering stability. But I have to admit, the tl-p seats are pretty damn comfortable!

me and my passengers actually preferred the P's seats. they are much softer.
bigger? better looks... 02-03 tl-p is identical aside from wheels and badges.
same engine.. different components.
i dont see 1-2 car lengths making anyone cry in the quarter mile...
not saying they are equal.. but they are by no means THAT big of a differnce.. the average person wouldnt be able to tell they were different cars at all..

having said that.. would i choose the S overall? yes lol

isnt the interior identical aside from front seats and a few visual items.. nothing that makes the interior really "different"

suspension does not matter b/c anyone who chooses to drive the car past a work-home experience.. will be changing the suspension whether it be a TL- P or TL-S.
at the time, the price for the S was worth the goodies...
these days the price difference is so minimal that you could actually add any missing torque or comfort in handling to a P for cheaper than an S to begin with.
again, my 2cents.
