New Rotors

I'm in the process of getting some new rotors on my 2001 TL. Has anyone put the pro stops on their car? If so, how are they and how much you pay for them?

can I get some feedback on the aftermarket rotors. I'm currently looking at the brembos, rotora, irotor and pro stops. If you bought any of these I would like to hear they are working for you.

i have the irotors and recomend them check out the group buy on htm in the black market section of this forum. they are very nice build quality and they have (so far) resisted warping. i would also highly recomend the EBC Green Stuff Pads over the axxis pads. i am going to get rid or the axxis pads after only 2000 miles. they produce way too much brake dust.

drilled & slotted rotors make a hugh difference over stock piece of crap rotors. No matter how hard you you repeatedly use them and get them hot, the rotors cool quickly and don't warp. You'll really enjoy them. What pads did you end up with??? I used the Axxis, but a lot of TLers are using the EBC green stuff. I interested to know which are better???

Hey antlive, check out the irotors on ebay. They have pretty good prices for the 2001 TL. Not quite group buy, but their not that high for drilled/slotted rotors.

they do have a good price, $249 for 4 rotors. I really don't want the drilled holes though I've heard they crack after a while.

i have had bot and the Green Stuff are alot better.

and for antlive's question...... yea cross drilled rotors tend to crack, but the irotors dont have as many holes in them and more material around the cooling vanes in the center which should help reduce/eliminate the cracking issue. and when rotors do crack its usually just surface cracks. it doesnt make the car undriveable. and also by time they do get to that point its usually time for new rotors any way because of age and wear (because you cant have them turned)

I have the EBC green stuff pads along with EBC dimpled and slotted rotors on my CRX and they work great! I plan to put them on the TL as soon as it needs pads.

On a side note, I know the NSX calipers will fit on the TL, but I'm unsure on what rotors to use to finish the swap. Has anyone here done this?

If you only want slotted, I got all four Rotora slotted rotors for $302 (free shipping) at www.streetbeatcustomes.com. I used the Axxis Deluxe Plus pads. Just installed the last Saturday so I have not really tested them out yet.
