New Red/White Tail Lights

Hi, I have a 1999 TL and I just purchased the OEM Red/White tails to replace the amber/red ones. The one question I have is, would this be a Do-It-Yourself project, or a professional installation project (I have never really installed anything car related, but I do know a little bit about electronics). If this would be a DIY project, could someone please send me instructions on how to remove the old ones, and install the new ones. My e-mail is bdv687@twcny.rr.com Thanks in advance!!

It's a DIY project. Look in your car's manual on how to change tail light bulbs. This will tell you how to remove the trunk lining and pull it back. After removing the trunk lining, remove the 6-8 nuts. Remove the bulbs and old wiring harness. Then pull the old tails out or push it out from the inside. Replace the tails and put in the new wiring harness. and reverse.

I'll post pics in a few weeks...I also did the blue footwell lighting but now i'm working on my system...I'm putting in:

(2) 12" Audiobahn AW1206T (Peak of 2200 watts each)
Audiobahn a18001dt Amp
Pioneer DEH-P8500mp headunit.

It should all be done a little after Christmas.

I got the OEM ones off eBay...someone was selling his car and sold me them for $200. It was a great deal considering the knock-offs are $180. I got them in great condition...so pretty much I got lucky and got a great deal. I'd say your best bet is eBay.
