Just picked up a 2001 Acura TL with 115K miles. Overall good shape, but for me..it's an Acura TL"C" Need replace a few items on it...owner's manual, auto dim rear view mirror, center console arm rest, and some misc other items...I don't see a for sale section, guess because I'm a newb. Look forward to learning about the TL"C" here.

What do you mean tl "c" there was no c model. There was only tl-p and tl-s if you have a 2001 it's a tl-p. There is a for sale section, hit the offtopic tab at the top right and go under car parts for sale. Welcome

Thumbs up Welcome to LongRX7......!

Yeah, there's a lot of info available on this site to help you optimize your TL. Congrats on the '01 @ 115k, low mileage..... but do ya know the previous maintenance history of the car. Things like the tranny and t-belt should be at the top of your inquiry list. Enjoy the car and this site has experienced enthusiasts to help ya as needed !!!

Thanks everyone! Lots to learn and do for the my TL addition. Now I gotta fit it in with the 2 RX-7's and Escalade project/maintenance. Timing belt done around 100K, which is good. Tranny unknown by previous owner. Radio Code still giving me issues after unplugging the antenna. Lol, now don't have enough room to get my hands back there to plug it back in...might have to pull out the radio and do the antenna extension and make it easier to get to next time.

Yeah, sounds like ya have enough projects to keep yourself busy.
The TL will make a good daily, while tinkering with the others. So, what year of RX7 do ya have ?

This is my 93 CYM R1 (Canary Yellow Mica)
Hopefully be able to start on next round of HP mods to it. Currently about 350 RWHP...Next goal... 600-700 RWHP

The other 93 Vintage Red, I think I'm handing that off to my nephew.

The 2005 Escalade..I've got it running bi-fuel. It can run on regular gasoline, but I usually just put Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in it. $0.99 a gallon. Woohoo can't beat that. One fill up a week was about $80 dollars. Now, I only spend like $60 dollars a month using CNG.

Plus a cruiser that needs an new starter and the bike only has like 750 miles on it. I don't ride it hardly. Thought I was getting older so switched from sports bikes to a cruiser. lol

radio code prob? wont take code? guessing battery was dead- replaced causing this?
try an underground parking lot and input code then
with antenna plugged in

As we age we get more expensive toys! and often they get older!!
Used to need a new car and bike, now an 86 VT1100 and the 01TL

Ordered tray lock for center armrest console locally, ordered auto dim rear view mirror from Del Ray Acura, fixed radio issue finally after taking center console to gain access to the stereo. Card win S/N and code for radio was not same as S/N on the stereo. Called Acura with the correct S/N and got the code for it. Looks like stereo was replaced at some point on this TL. It had the original S/N on the left outer side of the glove box, which matched the card included in the glove box. extended the antenna cable to left side fuse box so I won't have to mess with the antenna behind stereo again.

On a good note, I did find a mini gold mine underneath the center console/stereo trim $9.69 in change woohoo! lol.

Thanks everyone, this forum is very informative and very helpful for my learning curve with the 01 TL! I've done quite a bit of improvements and maintenance items on the car for my short ownership stint.
