the onstar system,it makes me feel like batman,
im luvin it man, has only tried out the luxury plan, ??
the personal callign is really cool, butt a bit expensive

 

Yeah, we all know the only new on 2003 is the onStar system. Hey... how does that works? What features will provide you and how much you need to pay for monthly charge?

Is it really needed to have both Navi and onStar installed on the car?

 

I like the roof mounted antenae that comes with the onstar equiped 2003's - that looks cool.

 

ugh.. I think the antennae is ugly... it ruins the lines of the car. I'm very surprised that they didn't hide it.

As for the On-Star.... is it setup like the other car companies where the first year is free, but after that you need to subscribe at a monthly rate? I'm sure that's the case b/c I doubt Acura would be free for the life of the car whereas Lexus isn't. If that's the case, then it's not that good of a deal.....

 

I thought so too until I saw it in person.....:yack: On my Escalade, it's right above the drivers side, looks fvcking retarded.

 

it has like the safety features, if you air bad deploys they send help, if you lock you keyes inside they can call your car and open the locks, stuff liek that there is a list of things on there website, www.onstar.com,
i dotn really mind the antenna, i mean
its worth it
cause so far who ever was in my car and when i press the onstar button when operator come's online and addresses me, MR.whoever, can i help you, i see that you are on this road, there is a bus in front of you and bla bla bla, then i usually ask them where they are calling from its usually north carolina, or michigan, anywaze its cool, i mean when im bored il jus chat with an operator, there reall nice

 

The two times that I used it I ended up talkiing to some "Laquita", and she was not helpful at all.

 

nah i always get good peopel and rhey usually helpfull for what i need them for

 

HAH... I kinda like the roof-mount antenna, too.... it looks good, IMO....

Hehe, don't forget that door-panels are different for 2003, too.... 2002 has rippled leather door panel while 2003 has perforated leather....

Does it mean that the On-Star can track where your car is at any moment, like where you go and when you go where ? It sure helps private detectives to do their works.

 

I just got my 03- i dont tend to call and chat with the operators though- I was adjusting my mirror while driving at night and accidentally presssed the red+ button and they came on expecting an emergency.

I sappose it is nice - will i use it - doubt it - I sure wouldn't pay for a subscription service.

I am more annoyed that my Nextel phone interfers with the stereo-

 

Should have gotten yourself a Volkswagon and save yourself a couple of bucks.

 

Header should fit perfectly since all Type S engines are identical....
