The New NSX
Saw a new white NSX wif carbon hood one day. We didn't give it a go becuz there was heavy traffic. He was behind me all the time. He gave me a little rev as we went separate way. Gosh, it is one sweet car. (But doesn't worth the $$$)

hehe didn't give it a go? I wouldnt try..but it would be interesting to see how much the nsx would win by... well anything isnt worth the $$$ if you dont have it... its when you have it that matters..

my friend has the last gen NSX and even though the straight line performance doesn't seem great for how much it costs, but the style of it, the feeling when you drive it, and the ability to take corners on a track is just plain awesome.
for an exotic, I think the price is decent. plus maintenance doesn't cost a lot compared to other exotics.

The M3 is a poser car anyway - at least here in So Cal.
Back to the topic of this thread...
I recently saw a brand new silver-ish NSX in the dealership lot and I've got to say that color was great for the car. At first I didn't like the new headlights but with this silver color, it works IMO.
Rumor is Acura losses money on the sale of each NSX. Costs $120k to build, sells for $90k. It's the "marquee" of it so they keep it around. They don't sell many so the financial "loss" is negligible.

Why would Acura make it and lose money?
Isn't that just stupid?
My father has gone through two NSX's since 1995. He has had a couple twin turbo Porsches, used to be a professional driver in the Toyota Atlantic series and still stands by the NSX as the best performance vehicle out there…Mostly for the handling / breaking etc. (of course). He even choose the NSX over the F360.

Besides, if someone happens to see an NSX on the lot, takes a look and then ultimately purchases another model, it's worth having the NSX.
Believe me, the loss Acura takes on the sale of each NSX, they MORE than make it up on the sales of the other models.
If the NSX was the ONLY car Acura produced, yes, it would be stupid and they would be out of business.

You can get a very very nice used '91-94 NSX Coupe, with below average mileage (average for the NSX is only 5K miles/year), in the $30-35K range. That is a bargain.

Given that the current M5 costs about the same $73-75K as an NSX, I don't see how you can predict with any accuracy whether it's going to go up, or down, in price. Unless you work for BMW NA, you would be better off not making statements that might not be true.
I also don't see what the M5 has to do with the NSX. The M5 is a great car - a big, heavy, powerful, high-performance luxury sedan. The NSX is a nimble, lightweight, high-performance sports car. The M5 is perfect for driving cross-country with the family, in speed and style. The NSX is perfect for the racetrack. Two totally different kinds of cars.
