Talking New Mod New Mod!

Ok, so i got a little bored and started to play around my with my car and see small mods i can do. So then i went to the license plate light and saw that it might look good with some color to it, so i put a blue bulb in and it looks alot better than the original light, this maybe a little ricey, but i think it looks good.

I did the same type of thing, But I just colored the existing bulb with blue permanent marker. Lost it's blueness, but has a nice green to it now. Makes a noticeable difference at night.

Just be careful a cop doesn't follow you from behind.

I have xeon 168 bulb on my car for the longest time. No issue whatsoever. The light is hidden behind the bumper anyway. Also my licence plate cover is blue. Looks quite nice at night. Even the pavement below the bumper got lit up

i'd be careful about that if i were you guys. i changed my bulbs for the license plate to red to match my brake and signaling lights and i was pulled over by the cops. they then informed me that changing the lights there is one way for gangs to distinguish each other.

I've been using a hyperwhite license plate bulb since I bought the car and its a really nice simple and CHEAP mod!!

As for cops, I've never had any problems with them. I don't suspect you should have problems, I mean the bulb only makes the plate MORE visible!

Don't know about that...in my town, that's illegal. My friend got 4 tickets for having a green light on the back where the license plate is. He's an idiot for not getting around to change them, lol! rayman009(2), I'd be very careful, you will most likely get a ticket for them. Ties in with impersonating a cop.

Yup. Displaying blue lights (any kind, any place) without a permit = $300 fine. If you're using them to impersonate a police officer, it's a criminal offense on top of the $300 civil infraction. Same goes for those blue (or red) washer nozzle lights--$300.

I think it's illegal in NC, but my GF has them (washer nozzle lights) and no biggie(yet).

I might change my license plate bulbs to PIAA super/XTRA/Xtreme/Plasma bulbs, since I have some lying around.

I wonder what they will look like?

Does anyone have pictures?
