Interesting....I think I liked the little bit of contrast the wood gave tho. Maybe would look nicer in a different color? Slick tho, good job.

I like the Chrome shift gate the most. Getting rid of the silly faux-wood is just a bonus...

So, where can I score that shift gate? And don't tell me to paint it...

It's for the '99 TL only, due to the 4-speed transmission.

Yea they stopped making them chrome because they are reflective as hell and at just the right angle you can catch an eyeful of sun.

I like it man, looks clean. I'd be interested in doing the same. I'm goin with the blacked out theme on my car so that would be perfect. Not trying to everything the same color, but different shades. How much did it run ya and whered you get it done?

Well, didnt cost me anything because a friend of mine did those two for me. If you want the same work done it'll run ya $60 plus shipping. The finish is like an OEM factory finish, very nice and has a very sutle sheen to it. I love it, and in person its waay better then what those night time garage pics show.

Any chance you could have them painted Taffeta White? Black wouldn't look right with my interior unfortunately.

Well, not the exact color "Taffeta White" but maybe a regular "white" would look fine in your interior. Its a friend of mine that does very nice custom Guage Pod work, Alot of fiberglass work which he is top notch at, atleast thats what ive seen from the work examples that he has shown me. I vouch for him. He does alot of work for members on the forum. Sooo, he doesnt have one of those custom paint mix machines that can spit out an exact color match. He uses really high grade car paint and some other types of stuff to achieve certain finishes. The finish on mine like i said is like an OEM factory style type of finish with a slight sheen to it, not super glosy like the paint on car. Are you interested in getting yours done? If so, what type of finish are you lookin to get?

Talking UPDATE!! Door Panel Wood Grains are Painted and Done.

Well, the door panel wood grains are done. They came out friken AMAZING! I love them, heres just a couple fresh out of painting pictures for you, dont mind the dimness of lighting in the last two pics, they are just quick pics for you all. I will have really good pics later as well as pics of them back inside my car with my door panels finally back on.

This is just after painting, NO WETSAND or POLISH.

After WETSANDING & POLISH/WAX.

Thats correct, because unlike most of these kats on here that paint there center ones the same color as there car, I personally think it looks wack, the center ones painted silver would look like too much friken silver in my car, especially the center console ones cuz there so longa and big, i just think that shit looks so tacky and ricey lookin. For me, i have center console moldings that blend with all the black factory plastic in the center, flows real nice, and my doors will have sporty Silver accents in them, thats how it should be done, but this is just my opinion. To each his own.
