New Member from SC (99 TL)

Hey everyone, i've been a member of this forum for about 3 years now, but I recently started becoming more active after I purchased my 99 TL about 6 months ago. I used to drive an 01 Accord Coupe (which I loved), but when I had the opportunity to own a TL I took advantage of it . It was in really good condition when I got it, (other than the infamous rearview mirror), and so far its a lot more fun to drive and gets more complements than the Accord. People always ask me why I got a "grown-up" car like the TL at 20 instead of a RSX, Prelude, etc., and all I say is that I would rather mod a car that everybody doesn't expect to be modded.

All ive done so far is 25% tint, interior LED lighting upgrade, new shift knob, and the chrome shift gate thanks to AcuraZine.

not a big fan of the interior color but I guess to each his own. unless the dash and seats are black beige is just UGLY.

Nice color choice! Good luck, hope you're ready to spend some money modding it!

Thanks for the complements guys . Im in between Charleston, Myrtle Beach, and Rock Hill/Charlotte because of college. And I kinda wish that the Taffeta White did come with the black interior but im still happy with my beige interior.

And you guys were right, even though it takes a while to do, the chrome shiftgate mod was really easy to do and definitely worth it. The thing that I get most from my friends that are still in the "ricer" stage is that I drive a grandma's car, but for one of them that changed when he wanted to go on a date and asked me to drive him and his date since my car was nicer than his . I shoulda told him it would be a mistake for me to drive him, but I got a free movie ticket out of it so I didn't complain.

You probably did. Im here whenever I get a break from college (usually Christmas/spring break). Yea our dealership does suck, I actually got my Accord from them, but they're really not the best imo.

they lied to me and said my transmission case was cracked and was leaking alot of fluid, they said i needed a new transmission and it would be only about "$5000". i left right away. lol. i did not see any real problem, yes it was leeking a lil bit. a few months later it started to get worse and i finally decided to take it to a local shop, and come to find out i only needed trans axle seals, so i got right and left replaced for $350
