Well I just bought a 2002 Acura TL-S off E-bay (from a dealer) and it should arrive here sometime next week !! So I just wanted to check in and say HI ...

I have been lurking both here and on another Acura site for a while and have gained a ton of info on this car before I went through and purchased it. I think I got a good deal on it but tell me what you think ...... It is a 2002 pearl white fully loaded type-S with navi and it has 81k on the clock. I paid $13,400 for it plus $700.00 for shipping. I was able to run the vin through my local dealer and I also ran a Carfax on it and it turns out it is a one owner car and all of the recalls have already been done to it so that is a good thing I was told by my local Acura dealer that the car still has a transmission warranty till 100k so if it is going to go out I hope it does it before 100k Anyway I will report back in once the car arrives ..........

You will love this forum and all of us people on it. Everyone on hear is great. Helpful and respectful. Eventually you will see who the best people are to go to for questions and so forth. That deal on your Type S sounds about right. I have a 1999 3.2TL and i bought it last december with 45K on it for 15,000 from Car Max. Its been a year and im now up to 53K on it so your price sounds about right considering its a Type S and Navi in it. Anyways, if you need help with somethin, let me know. I'm down to help. Later.

Yes I have done this 2 times before with great results and both were on E-bay as well. You just have to be very careful who you deal with and I will only buy from a dealership and I also run a carfax and check with the local BBB just to make sure. I will check back in once the car arrives and let everyone know how it went.

Let us know when u get ur car. I checked ebay motors all the time but just dont have the guts to purchase a car w/o actually seeing/test driving it. Keep us updated!!

 

First mod's are already on there way.......... stainless steel exhaust tips and a trunk lid spoiler .

! Update ! Well the dealership in Houston just called me to tell me the transport truck picked up my car yesterday so it should be in Sacramento tomorrow or Friday I will let you all know as soon as I get it.
