Hey guys, just wanted to drop in to say hello and introduce myself. I'm not new to the Acura or TL scene but I have one again. I just traded in my RSX-S for an 03 SSM TL-S.

My father had an 03 in DWP and I fell in love with it back then. I've had 3 Integras, and RSX, his TL and now he has a TSX. I want comfort so I picked this baby up.

My only plans are tinted windows, OEM kit, and some kind of DVD/Navi deck. I've been checking out the pics of all your cars and I must say it's refreshing to know that if the bug bites me again there is a lot of support for this car.

I'm going to bore you now with the dealer supplied pics. I pick the car up Thursday.

welcome... how many miles are on it?? and if you dont mind me asking how much did you get it for... looks really clean... i have to say wasnt too big on silver but i love it on the TL's.

If you haven't already, you might want to check with Acura to see if you have one of the 2003 TLs with the 7 year/100,000 mile extended warranty on the transmission.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. It' has 26k on it and is certified. It does have the extended warranty BUT it also had the jets added and 2nd gear replaced in 04 when it had 12k on it. My dealer was able to get the price down to 21,xxx from 24k.

 

wow $21k for an '03? i say that kinda high, for me though, but i don't know it might be just that cause it only has 24k miles on it.

so how you compare the RSX to this car.

my friend has a 06 RSX base and one day when he was drunk, he kept saying he'd rather have my 01 TL-P and how nice it was. HAHAHHAHAHA.

 

Looks like mine, same year same type, although mine came with the Nav system on board already. It's a beautiful thing, really and the silver/black combo is boss (those are my colors). I got mine exactly a month ago -- I don't take shortcuts anymore and when I see a detour sign I'm actually happy. Enjoy! And with 24,000 miles on it, the enjoyment should last a long time!

Congrats on the new TL-S Chris. SSM on Ebony is a nice combo! I'm almost wishing I would have bought a lighter color. I'm finding out the hard way how hard it is to keep NBP clean and scratch free.

Oh and I love the OEM spoiler. I lucked out with one as well.
