Post New Keyless Remote

Hey guys...I'm thinking about getting a new TL-S or MDX later this year. I just saw pictures of the new keyless remote that Acura is apparently giving. You guys that bought the TL-s, did you guys get the new remotes? Just wondering...thanks.

Got 2 keyless remotes, labeled (1) and (2). Each one is coordinated with the memory seat and mirror positions, so when you unlock the car, the drivers seat and side mirrors adjust to that drivers positon!

A new feature (I think)is that if you unlock the car with the remote and then DO NOT open a door within 30 seconds, the car re-locks and arms the alarm. This is cool for those "accidental" unlocks when you put your keys in your pocket after you lock the car.

One thing I do not like (compared to my 99TL Nav) is that when you lock the car with the remote, the horn does not beep. Instead, there is a *much* quieter "peep" sound. It is a lot harder to hear in a noisy environment.

I never liked the beep. If the lights blink that is more than adequate for me.

P.S You certainly will get attention from people when holding the remote in your hand. It looks sharp!

I think the beep is a lot classier than the horn honk. If it's not loud enough, you can always visually verify that your lights blink and the lock plungers drop.

It's really irritating when other people with "honking" dealer car alarms arm them and scare any birds, and small children within a 50 ft radius.

I also really dig the new remotes and the fact that if you leave your headlights on they turn off in 15 seconds, when you return to your car and use the remote, the lights turn on again.....very cool... I also like the fact that if you are in the car the security system if armed will go off if even the door lock knob is pulled up...also very cool.

Just picked up my MDX last week. Yes the new remotes are cool. Will be looking to buy a TL-S when we sell our Expedition. With the MDX one click locks the doors and a second click arms the alarm with a quit beep which I think sounds classy, although not very audible from a distance. Does it take two clicks to lock and arm the TL-S?
