New Interior Lighting?

I was thinking about having a little more color inside the car, i dont like the yellowish green background light, makes the car seem "old" like an integra or something, but anyways what if I drilled a little hole or a coupe little holes in the sun glasses compartment and put some blue or red for example LED's that are wired to the auto dim mirror, so i can have the light shine down towards the cup holder/center console area, like little flood lights or something, like the tsx. anyone ever thought of this or tried this?

most people just switch all the bulbs to leds and call it good.
try searching for more info on that and see if thats a path you want to take before looking more into "flood lights"...

you can change all those yellow bulbs to blue led's with bulbs from autolumination.com.. you'd have to remove the dash though

The 09 TL W/tech has this and I thought it was sick. It looked good at night plus gave me alittle light when I needed it (for all those dam buttons that thing had Lol)

I have wanted to do this sence I had the 09 but the wiring could be tough. If I do it, it will be after the dash lights are done.

Go for it! and let us know how it turns out.

i thought you couldn't have lights on in the car as its a distraction to other drivers.

ill post pics tonight. Im at work right now and my car is at the train station. I drilled the hole for the light where the house is on the homelink area. It shines directly down onto the center console. I wired it to the Rearview mirror so that it turns on with the car. Its not much of a distraction.
