Cheap mods to make your car look nice? Looking "nice" is different for every AZiner, but I would recommend a debadge and smoked taillights.

A lot of people would also recommend to lower your car with new rims, but that can be costly (relatively). You could also get a cheapo spoiler, but I think no one here would support that.

for the exterior of the car, there are no cheap mods (with the exception of debadging, tinting tails, blackout headlight housing)

here are some options:

window tint
lowering springs/coilovers
roof spoiler
decklid/wing spoiler
OEM lip kit
wheels
Honda Inspire/Saber conversion

and yes you can use any paint that adheres to plastic on the engine cover. it does not have to be high temperature paint.

CAI and headers are good. Also consider lightweight crank pulley (good to do during timing belt change) and spacers for intake manifold and throttle body. NGK iridium spark plugs as well.

Another nice exterior mod would be a new axle-back exhaust with fresh chrome exhaust tips. Looks good and a *little* performance boost. Tsudo makes a good set at a good price.

+1 regarding NO neon or cartoon characters

There is really no such thing as a "cheap mod" especially when it comes to performance. I mean, you can find CAI's for cheap, but you're getting what you pay for.

Cheap and Little Visual Mods for kinda less than 50 Bucks!

In the DIY Section, Here https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/fog-light-mod-alternate-version-549015/:
"Fog Light Mod Ver. 2.0" (Around 15 Bucks):

Somewhere in the 2G Forum, Here: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/diy-high-beam-fogs-mod-802817/
"My DIY for High Beams + Fog Lights Mod" (Around 5-10 Bucks):

No DIY for This But quite Easy:
"Custom Interior Ambient Lighting" (Around 25 Bucks using High Power SMDs, Cheaper if you Do the LEDs Route):
Dont Mind the Blue Color they are Pure White, Thats just the Shitty iPhone Camera working up.

Hope it is What your looking For, And yup my Car Need a Serious Paint Job. Stupid Road Debris....

How would you power a projector, and what would you use as a screen? What about sound? Maybe I'm just uninformed and getting old...okay, definitely the latter.

TV's in your headrest are a waste IMO unless u have kids and I still wouldnt put TV's in my headrest and only a couple of TL's can pull it off plus that isnt a cheap mod either

Yeah well some people doesnt live in Flat road Cities to pull off a Drop.... Sorry

I Recall someone saying the drop gives No actual driving aid that it just destroys the little ride the TL-S already lacked, I took the advice and installed the Anti-Roll bars only and WOW the difference was clear. Never looked back for a Drop....

I think a drop is more about looks anyway, but it does look good! Unless you're going to a road course race track, who really needs racing suspension for street driving? Need to take that turn by the grocery store at 80mph? I really do like the way a drop looks, but speed bumps and parking spaces with bumpers or curbs would scare me.

well i was going to power it with a hidden 1000 watt dc to ac inverter then the sound i was going to hook it up the auxiliary port. then for the screen i was going to to rear view the projector with a thin fabric type screen stretching from the top of open hood to the bottom or something like that. last cai is on the way and i am looking for header and a light weight pulley
