New Here

Whats going on guys, didn't see anywhere special to throw up a introductory post so thought I'd just throw it in here. Anyway I just picked up a 2k2 TL-P this past friday and am looking to do a few things to it. I'm definitely going to install a in-dash navi, probably either the Alpine INA-900BT or 910 when it comes out in May. I'm also thinking of doing some ambient lighting and things along that line. The only thing I'm really considering for the exterior as of now is adding a spoiler but not sure if I want to do it or not. Glad I've stumbled across this site, looks like it will help me out quite a bit as far as modding goes.

Here's my intro pics for the night, I'll get some better ones up later this week.

Thanks for all the welcomes guys. I'm loving the FPR, great color just hoping the cops don't notice too much lol. *note the radar detector haha. Rockstar I just drove it 500 miles give me a break lol. Anc I was really surprised at the interior, its immaculate! Absolutely amazing for a 9 year old car.

Thanks again for the welcomes haha. After doing quite a few searches I still can't find anything on this one. How would you wire footwell lighting to the fog light button? I'm sure its possible, would it be a good idea? I drive with my lights on all the time, so I don't want them to run when the lights are on, but I only turn the fogs on at night soI figured that would be the best way for me to do it. Might need to stop by autozone tonight and pick up one of the books on the TL.

thanks man.

I'm thinking with my footwell-fog button question it should be as simple as popping out the cover under the steering column, finding the wires coming from the button and then tap into the orange wire. Or would it be better to run into the engine compartment and tap into the wire there?

why not have a dedicated switch for the foot well lights?

thats what i did, and i ninja-ed the switch so only the driver can reach it.

You know originally I didn't want to add a switch cuz I don't like the way they often tend to look, but after really taking a gander at the dash, it looks like I could through in a separate dimmer next to that to run the footwell. Might have to try that out...If I do go that route what would be the easiest thing to tap for power?

i believe i tapped into the power outlet in the center console. only because i was running LEDs in the cupholders too though so it was easier since i had all the wires exposed already.
