New headrests...

For sh!ts and giggles to try a different look and freshen up my interior, I decided to try some new headrests:

I know I could have gone with Type-S headrests but I read that those have the height adjustment notches on the outside of the posts; these have them on the inside of the left post like the original ones.

Doesn't look like the color matches very well.

you know what the real reason they are for??? not to rest your head on but to help protect your kneck in a rear end colision. The tiny ass piece o crap ones the tlp comes with suck. id take those.

yea. the higher the seat back though the more uncomfortable it is for most drivers since their shoulders start to hit the seat back. its easier to make a narower and taller headrest. Look at volvo. they have some of the tallest seats and headrests on the market

Thanks for the replies! I knew I'd get some and some !

They're CRV headrests. I went to the Atlanta auto show recently and I perused the Honda exhibit (I wanted to check the Fit) and I looked at the CRV. I liked the headrests in it so I pulled one up and marked the post width on a catalog I had handy; I did the same with a Pilot. When I got home, I compared it with my headrests and the CRV ones were the same spacing. Only the CRV SE comes with leather so I got those in black.

Black is black but because they're 6 years newer than the rest of the interior, they're not faded. The leather has a rougher grain, kind of like the vinyl on the border of our seats, it's not smooth like the main leather panels on the seats. I've always liked the "open" style headrests, I think they look sporty. Yeah, I can see the resemblance to Volvo headrests, I'm not sure if I take that - or +

I know they aren't a perfect match but I don't mind. I just like the look.

Anyone want to buy a pair of black TL-P headrests in perfect condition?

i think the worst car headrests are those found in the 94-04 Mustangs.. They are about 3" tall and completely useless. I could lean my head all the way back and never feel the headrest.

Nice I like it!

And yes the Volvo have the tallest headrests around I like it because it's comfortable but I hate it because you cant check your blindspots.

It looks great to me....I must applaud you on doing your research into doing this mod yourself. There are way too many posts asking if headrests are swappable when the peopel can do some research on their own.

Sure they're not for comfort and maybe safer because they're bigger but they don't look good they don't look like the same leather...
