New to the gang
Hello everyone. I just bought an 02' TL Type S yesterday. I wanted a third gen but at this time, funds will only allow me to purchase a second gen. I have been searching for a car to buy and although a second gen Audi A4 with the 1.8 turbo was my car of choice, I just couldn't find one with the manual tranny and right color. Since I had to return the rental soon, I went ahead and purchased this ride. So far, so good, only thing wrong is the mileage is at 145k and I'm thinking mostly hiway miles. I'm the 3rd owner and paid $9k plus tax. It needs new tires but everything else is in great condition. Even the seats look close to new, especially the rear seats.

Check if your tranny hs been done for the recall or not.

Make sure you don't beat on it.
And this website is awesome....

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Mine is silver in color and I think has everything except for navigation, which I'm going to install myself as I'm big in car audio. What is the recall specifically for? How do I check to see if the tranny has been recalled? You guys know what the recall code would be? I mean, at 145k, I don't think Honda/Acura is going to do anything about it even if it hasn't been recalled.
