New to the game...
Just wanted to say hello to everyone.
I am pleased to be the new owner of a 99 3.2TL w/o navi., dark blue (hence the tag ).
I got it as a repo from the bank.
Anyhow, I want to know about the care and feeding of my new ride. Can you kind folks point me in the right direction?
Are the somethings that should be attended to now or in the near future?
I don't have an owners manual, so I will also need info on maintenance schedules, etc.
Thanks in advance, and letting me in the club.
Lando (DarkBlue).

Welcome to the board...For the maintenance schedules you can sign up for Owner Link on www.acura.com, it's free, and it notifies you of any recalls and upcoming maintenance on your car.

06 Anthracite TL
It's a pretty low maintenance car
It just needs the usual stuff- might not be a bad idea to do these things since you just got the car and may not know when the fluids were last changed:
Rec: 1) synthetic oil (most people here like Mobil 1 5W-30 or Amsoil) every 7K miles.
2) transmission fluid drain and fill- some rec. changing it yearly with the poor history of the TL transmission (use the factory Honda Z1 fluid if you car is under the extended transmission warranty)
3) coolant change
4) cabin air filter (about $21 from PepBoys, and ~ 15 minutes work time).
5) brake fluid change (depending on mileage) costs about $ 90 from Goodyear dealer
No new plugs needed for 105K miles (according to specs).
Other recommendations: a lot of people like AEM cold air intakes- I personally only have a K&N drop in air filter (fits the stock airbox) ~ $40 via internet.
That's pretty much it- other mods are up to you.
Good luck and welcome to the club!
Use the search feature of the site- it is very valuable, and if you're looking to do some work yourself, there is a lot of instruction here.
1 more thing: if you have the car serviced instead of doing work yourself, find a good local Honda dealer- they are capable of working on the TL and are much cheaper than the Acura dealer.
