New to the forum - need advice on buying an 02 TL-S
Hey everyone! I currently drive a 1991 Integra GS 5-speed. Looking to sell it and upgrade to a 2002 TL Type-S.
What are the common problem-points to look out for, and what, aside from the tranny, is a major problem? Any way to tell if the tranny has been replaced already, or if the one in there is about to blow?
Are there any members in the Toronto area that would be willing to go take a peek at the one I am looking at? I live in ottawa and its a 4.5 hour drive to go see it -- don't want to waste my time if it's in bad shape.
Thanks for any opinions and advice.
BTW: The one I am eyeing up is a pearl white TL-S w/ the skirt package. Not sure if it has the Bose audio -- how can I tell w/o looking in the car itself?
Thanks again!

If i'm not mistaken they all have the Bose Audio, the only option should be the navi package.
If the transmission goes bad, the dealer will just replace it, no big deal, as long as it's under 100,000 miles

Along with the tranny, from what I gather the rotors pretty much suck, so I'd seewhat the condition of those are.
The fact that you are getting one with the OEM kit! that's a Plus, those things are getting more and more hard to come by these days, and they make th TL look so much better!

Well I test drove the Type-S last night, and it was just too big feeling compared to my Teg. Not something I think I can get easily used to.
So, I'm looking at the TSX now. Great deal lined up on a higher-mileage trade-in. Some small problems that the dealer is fixing, and all is good.
Thanks guys!
