new but used

hey i just bought me another 99 tl. its the dark blueish color. i got it fof 500 bucks. the only thing wrong with it as far as i know is the engine is bad and the tranny is about to go to. we did a compression test on it and 2 of the cylinders held 175 but the othes was like 70 and 40. the body is in great shape except the driver rear door is missing the side molding but thats not a prob to fix. ill be posting pics up tomorrow. o yea and i only got the silver key for it. thats the valet key right? so ill need to go get a master key for it right? and it doesnt have the remote for the car ether

Yeah Silver Key is for valet. You only need master Key if you going fix it complete right an drive it around. For alarm key pad you can get one off ebay for cheap an program it yourself. You just got to look at the back of your key pad now to know what type to buy

Nice find for $500 do a 6speed swap since the engine an tranny is already

Great catch, and all the best with the new project

Hopefully you get as lucky in finding a wrecked cl. It's too bad they don't look as nice as the TL (IMO) otherwise I would've picked up a black 6spd Type-S when I was in the market.

Congrats, finding a wreced cl is not hard. Striking on the right one is. They go for a pretty penny now a days. U can always do the 3.5 swap and the 04+ tl trans. Then piece the rest of the parts

if i do the 3.5 with the 04 and up trans ill still use the cl interior right? and everything will bolt up or will i have to mod it? im stilll thinking since its gonna be a while til i find one i might as well just throw a 99 motor and tranny in since it will be easier to find until i find the stick
