I'm not dropping the car, so spare me the 4x4 and SUV banter.

Also had the 04 Loaner for 2 days. What a gas guzzler. Felt like I was driving a V8. Had it for 24 hours or so and went through a half a tank on mostly highway miles and really not that many. I wonder if the tank is smaller in the 04. One would hope. Overall though, great handling, great acceleration, great sound system, spiffy interior and XM Radio rocks. On the down side, gas mileage, huge block of a back end, no sunglass holder.

I've heard that 99'-01 kits are cheap but haven't seen any deeply discounted 02/03

Anyhow, you haven't scraped your kit yet right? You don't have to slow donw that much right? I remember you were a tad bit worried about these things..

I haven't had any scraping problems yet. Went right up and down the driveway with no issues. I'm sure if I lowered it then I'd have issues, though. That's why I don't want to, plus ride quality. To tell you the truth, by putting the kit on, the car already looks lower than it did. I know it's just the aesthetics, but it looks much better and more sporty. Only issue right now is that somehow the kit looks darker than the rest of the car. Maybe it's just cleaner. And the kit is plastic??? I thought it would be the same as the body for the price (which was just over $900, hemants).

The OEM kit is the same material as your bumpers, ABS Plastic. What do you want it to be made of, metal?

There is a color differences because your car has been weathered.

04 TL is rated better on avg. mpg then < 03 TLs and gas tank is around the same cap, at 17 gallons. TLs usually get horrible milage until first oil change or you were punching it too much because it wasn't your car.
