New Battery for 2003 TL-P

The dealer told me a year ago (May 2007) that I needed to replace my battery. It was cranking fine/strong, so I didn't worry about it. Took it in for some recent service and the service manager said that it was only delivering about 380 amps and that I should replace ASAP.

So I figured it was best to finally do it, before I end up stuck somewhere. I stoped by Advance Auto and they were going to sell me their Autocraft Titanium, but I opted for the Silver, which has 585 CCAs (vs 550 for the OEM battery in the car currently), for $10 less (hey, $10 is $10). The difference between the two is that the Titanium has 700 CCAs vs 585 for the silver, and it has a 3 yr replacement (84 mo prorated) vs 2 yr replacement (72 mo prorated) for the silver.

I don't really care about $10 and figured the 700 CCAs was overkill, but then again, I don't really know sh*t about batteries. Any thoughts? Should I return the silver (haven't installed yet) for the titanium? I'm thinking the silver is fine, especially since I probably won't have the car for more than 3 years (85K on it now, avg 18K/year), replaced tranny once already.

I'd spend the extra $10 just for the additional year of warranty. The extra cranking amps is a bonus.

In cold weather the CCA being higher is a bonus. Not to mention the additional warranty

How'd you come up with that? You won't get worse mileage because of the battery having more power.
