hey guys i just bought an 02 TL Type-s i was thinking of modding it. I dont know alot about engines but i know enough. I know i want to get a CAI and an Exhaust system. Which are the best ones? What are some other mods that you guys would go with? Thanks to anyone who can help

 

try the Cai/headers/Exhaust

 

yea dood, exhaust, headers and CAI is always a good route. You will get a nice hp boost, maybe 20-30. Your car will sound amazing, the cai really makes that VTEC scream. Then if you get a nice exhaust, something like comptech or hks, etc, youll be set. If you want more, you can always add a Vafc or Vfac controller(not sure which spelling is right), or you can drop some serious dough and get a supercharger or nitrous.

 

also, the best company for headers i think is comptech. You wont have to ever worry about any problems, there are all Stone and OBX, they also work well but some ppl have reported problems with them. So if you want to spend the extra money and have peace at mind, comptech, otherwise save some money and go w/ Stone or obx. For CAI, AEM is the best. you can always find a used one for 150 or less, and they are well made. Exhaust you can go w/ any company really, they are all pretty good. Hks, Comptech, Magnaflow, Apexi, Tanabe, greddy, whatever is good. The Vafc or watever is made by Apexi

 

also the unichip, about 20hp added for the type S fromm 500rpm to redline
