Neuspeed strut bar not that easy :(
I've been reading how easy it is to install the neuspeed strut bar. Some say it can be done in 10 minutes. I guess not mine. With the car level to the ground, the strut bar was almost 1/2 inch too long. I had to jack my car up on both front sides. Way up!!! It still would not want to slide into the screw studs. So I waited about 10 minutes. I thought maybe it takes some time for the car body to flex a little bit. Well, it worked. The bar finally bore through the studs on both sides. Sometimes I amaze myself, hehehe.
I got my ABP TL-S 2 months ago. Only have Comptech sways and the strut bar so far. These two mods make the handling and steering so much better than stock. You'd think with a type-s they would have good handling off the lot. Guess not.
I ordered the strut bar 2 days ago and it was at my doorsteps today. Thanks Tim...

I put the Neuspeed upper strut bar on my TL-S a couple of weeks after I bought it. Went on with very little effort and did not have to jack up the car at all. I have not replaced the springs.
Just added the Comptech sway bars a couple of weeks ago. Waiting for the RES now...

my car is lowered on h&r's and i just put on the tie bar today and i had to jack up the car on both sides to make it fit. just a theory, but maybe the weather has something to do with it. metal in the car frame might flex due to temp.

I also only have the sways with the fat tires and wheels.
I did the install (of the tie bar) on a very flat surface, and it slid on when I loosened the 14- and 12-mm nuts on the strut and existing (factory) bar.

Nope! You will need to get an alignment only when you lower your car.
