I need you guys to tell me the gauge differences between the 99-02 TLs. Please post ASAP, I have some good shat brewing!

99 is only a 4 speed and 2000 and 01 is 5

 

Are there any other changes to the gauges between 99 and 2000/2001 (2000 and 2001 are the same) besides the number of gears? Speedo, tach, etc?

 

They changed the 2000 gauges because the 99 were hard to read in glare or something like that.

The '99 gauges are Italicized, whereas the 00 and 01's are more bold...Observe..a '99

Woa, didn't know that Shoof.

But what I'm looking for is functional differences... so far onlt the number of gears is different. Is the tach the same? Is the speedo the same?

 

I'll take a picture of my dash tomarrow and post them, and someone with a 99 or 2001 can post their pictures so you can compare them.

I'd do it now but I am too lazy and it is getting late

Very cool PhilTL! I'll just print it out and compare it to my car.

 

The only differences I see is there's probably a P,R,N,D5,D4,D3,D2,D1 on the '00-01 and '99 doesn't have the D5, the digital display goes to 5 on 00 and 4 in the '99, and lastly the italicized font.

Thanks Shoof!! You're right, the only difference is the gears. I sent the pic to the indiglo gauge guy. Hopefully he'll be able to make gauges for 1999 as well as 2000-2001.
