Need some Zaino tips please

I know, I know, you guys have covered this topic so many times, but I'm fairly new, and have searched on Zaino, and am still a tad bit confused.
I'm ready to wash my car for the first time. Do I use (in this order) Dawn, then Claybar, then Zaino? or in different order??

Thanks for your tips

GSB

That's the order I would use. Keep in mind that there's also an order that needs to be followed with the Zaino products. You should start with the Z-6 Gloss Enhancer spray to take care of any water spots and such. Then follow up with the Z5 to take care of any swirl marks or small hairline scratches, once you are satisfied that there aren't any defects (scratches) then you can go with the Z2 from there on out. Some vehicles will take a few coats of the Z5 before all of the defects are out. You shouldn't alternate between the the Z2 & Z5, only need to apply the Z5 once a year or so to take care of any defects.

Oh yeah! It's worth it.

By the way, GSB, what color is your TL-S? If it's WDP like mine, the Z5 actually seems to leave shinier, wetter looking finish than the Z2. Just my opinion.

IMO, I would not CLAY a brand new car and for your first wash ever! You should not have that much of a problem with contaminants in your paint that you would CLAY out?

Well, it would seem that way... but it's not, sometimes. Sometimes your car picks up rail dust during transport; sometimes it sits on the lot for a few weeks.

I thought like you when I first bought my car. It was brand-new, I shouldn't have to clay it. But a month later I decided to give it a try and see if I could feel a difference. Whoa! :wow: My baby was silky smooth after claying it. There's no doubt in my mind anymore -- clay that baby soon after buying it!

Just my .02 cents!

V.

P.S. GSB, which Zaino products did you buy?

Thanks for the tips guys. My TLS is NBP, a tough color to keep clean, but... the detailed steps posted by nsxnext are excellent! I'll let you know how it turns out. thanks again.
