need Rear barke pads replace at 30000km?

Hi

I would like to see how many people have changed the REAR barke pads before the front.
My Car had run only 31000Km, service in Acura figure out that the REAR barke pads has to be replace. Sound like it does not make any sence if the rear barke gone faster that front.

anyone had the same things happen?

they are trying to screw you - there is no way you need rear pads that fast! dont take your car to the dealership for service if you can...but if they will replace them under warranty, go for it - but dont get yourself into a bind with them telling you stuff to get your money

I have talk with one of my friend who work in Honda as a service advisor. He said that it can happen because of the ESP has relied on the barke, if the ESP is working to often. I also consult the other garage, they said the same things.
I just wondering if the dealer change the old rear pad for me when my car was in warrant service. May be I did not take Service in 24000km before.
Now my rear pads have only 10% left. they are thinner that the Pad Base.

another possibility is if the front breaks are not working properly (the most like reason being the front rotors are warpped) hance causing the rear pads to wear out more quickly and normal. Do you feel any vibrations when you step on your breaks at high speeds (60 miles/hr or approx 100km/hr)

I thought so. They had change the front Rotor for my car underwarrente. I am not sure if they did a good job on it?
The brake was good after new rotor replaced but it take quite long to stop now.
How can I check if the front brakes are working in good condition.

Thanks

Congrats on your first post after joining a year and a half ago!

That sucks about your brake pads.

When I had mine inspected the rears where at 40% and the front at 20% so your not the only one. When I replace the rear I will also replace the fronts.
