do anybody here have carfax and if so can someone check the vin number on the car to see if there is any problem with the car at all?

As a general caution, the CarFax reports can miss significant items.

I think they are worthwhile but don't rely on them.

How many miles does the car have? You'll want to have a decent amount of coverage left on the transmission since that's a known problem area.
