Need Help Please!!, Code: P1709
What's good?
Today, while I was going to school, I was in Trip Tronic mode and just cruising. I switched it back to D4, but noticed the gear number was still there which is odd assuming when you shift back the screen goes blank. Moments later, I notice my D4 link blinking and Check engine and TCS light come on. I'm like Oh Lawd, here we go again. Ironic part was, the tranny shifted smooth still, with no jerks, sputters or anything.. I took the car to the dealership, and left it there for like 2-3 hrs, and as I got the phone call back, they said "Its not your transmission but more of a electrical problem" They were charging me to get the car fully electrically diagnosed but before that took place, I got the code from him. It was P1709. I did research on Azine, and came up with a solution. The solution was to clean the shift gate area with a Qtip and all the wires/connectors. I got the car back from Acura, assuming I can take on this small mission, but so far with no luck.. As I said before, the car was shifting fine, but its the gear mode the computer is not reading. Can someone PLEASE advise me on what to do? Thank you so much!
Maybe someone can help me with a different approach? I took the battery out after doing a "cleaning" but the problem still arose.

New ride...Acura MDX 2013
unfortunately it may be your tranny, every time I got that code my tranny lasted about 1 to 2 months. I changed the tranny in my old car (02 TL-S) 4 times. I could be wrong and I hope I am for your sake (and your wallet)
