hey guys i lend my car to my uncle and he just called me told me a light in the cluster started to light up in the rpm guage side anyone know if check engine light is in there? i dont know what light it is he is pretty old and i dont want to bother him driving back if anyone could tell me what lights are in the rpm guage it would be very helpful i am tripping out its a 99 TL-P

Maint required light is also on that side. Ask your uncle "What" light it is. They all say what they are.

 

its the check engine but its so random car drives normal and stuff acura said that timing belt and transmision oil have to be changed other then that car is good i took it oct 6 to them

 

ok so the check engine light came on its so random car was fine it still is drving properly nothing wrong but it needs a timing belt job and a tranmsion oil change could that trigger the check engine light? also last night pumped the middle gas instead of supreme could that be a factor? or someone here said turn the cap 3 times or something and can a moderator change my first post and put this there thanks

 

also when i start the car the tcs and engine light are on and then the tcs goes off

 

Only way to know for sure what the light means is to have the codes read. Most parts stores do it for free.

My guess is EGR related since the TCS comes on and off with it.
